Music lets us worship God with our whole body, mind, and soul. When we raise our voices in praise, create harmonies with musical instruments, or clap along in joy, we share in a sacred experience.

If you like to sing or play an instrument, we have opportunities for you!

Joyful Sounds

Music has been at the heart of worship at St. Paul’s for many generations.

Our vocal and handbell choirs gather to rehearse and perform music during worship services.

Instrumentalists, woodwinds, brass, strings, and percussion fill the sanctuary with beautiful music that stirs and uplifts us.

Various impromptu musicians and ensembles, including gospel, folk, contemporary, and classical, participate in worship on a regular basis.

From harp to harmonica, you’ll hear it all at St. Paul’s.

Welcome to Music Ministries at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. I am Mark Baumann, Coordinator of Music Ministries. Sacred music is a servant of theology and the Church, being grounded in scripture. Music in many forms during worship is there to praise God, proclaim the Gospel, and encourage the heart as we go forth into the world. Our goal is to provide opportunities to people of all ages to make music and to grow in their faith. I enjoy meeting people and talking about how anyone can participate.

Canonic Processional

A renovation project of the pipe organ at St. Paul’s began on Monday, January 11. The instrument was silent for a couple of months and was first heard again on Sunday, March 14. The final work by technicians from the Dobson Organ Company of Lake City, Iowa was completed on Monday, March 29. The video provides a connection to people in the congregation and the wider community to know what took place since the church building has not been open to gatherings where such information can be shared. More than a dozen volunteers helped with the project along with the technicians from the firm. Their assistance was invaluable. Thank you.
