Need Care

Get Comfort and Support

In Times Of Need

Whether you’re facing a time of grief or illness or simply need a little extra encouragement, our church family is ready to walk with you. We offer a variety of care services, from compassionate listening and heartfelt prayer to home visits and support during times of crisis. No need is too small or too great.

Caring for one another is at the beating heart of St. Paul’s. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are eager to extend God’s love, offering a warm community of support. You don’t have to go through life’s challenges alone—reach out and let us offer you a sunny smile, a helping hand, and the spiritual comfort we all need.

Visitation

If you’d like someone from St. Paul’s to visit you, all you need to do is ask. Contact our Minister of Congregational Care to arrange a visit.  With your permission, we’ll also add you to the Prayer Concerns in the bulletin and Outlook newsletter so that others can lift you in love and prayers.

Counseling

Staff offer counseling support in troubled times and may suggest someone else if no clergy staff is available.

Communion Ministry

When you can’t be at church, it can be comforting to take communion in your home or care facility. This can be arranged on a quarterly basis, during the Holy seasons, or as needed.

Grief Support

After a loss, we’re here to help you heal, from support groups or referrals to grief booklets sent to the closest surviving relative.

Newborn Ministry

The arrival of a new baby is a milestone in the lives of our church family. As a baby is born or a child is adopted, we rejoice and celebrate. We give a gift card to families of new children soon after the birth or adoption. We do our best to contact each known family who welcomes a new little one. To receive one, contact the church office.

Worship Transportation

Rides to and from worship services are available from volunteers through Riders Club of America at no charge for those who need transportation. Please contact the church staff at least 24 hours in advance to arrange for a ride.

Parish Nurse

St. Paul’s offers the services of our Parish Nurse to promote a community of health and wellness in body, mind, and spirit through a loving ministry of faith and service. For concerns related to health and well-being, contact Mary Horn.

Blood Pressure Checks

On the fourth Sunday of each month, blood pressure checks are offered in the Welcome Space from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Online and DVD Ministry

Members who are homebound (long-term or short-term) and unable to attend church may request a DVD of the 9:00 a.m. worship service at no charge. Click here to view worship services and sermons online.

Care Notes

Pamphlets in the display rack in the church’s main hallway offer information, healing, and hope for those coping with difficult life situations such as financial problems, death, depression, life-threatening illnesses, divorce, etc. Members may select pamphlets helpful to themselves, family members, and friends in need.
