Called to Serve
Heart and Hands in Service
At St. Paul’s, service isn’t just something we do. It’s a fundamental part of who we are. We believe as Christians we are gifted, needed, and called to be Christ’s hands and heart to the world.
For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works…
Ephesians 2:10 NRSVUE
When we use our God-given spiritual gifts in service, we deepen our relationship with God and others. We also know we can do big things when we work together. We do this in various ways, including preparing school kits and health kits, working on mission projects, providing caregiver respite, and addressing injustices in our community and beyond.
Our Ministry Partners
Each year St. Paul’s partners with various local ministries throughout Cedar Rapids, our Iowa United Methodist connection, and our international United Methodist connection. Through quarterly special offerings, we support and partner with organizations working to address four core areas of concern:
- Housing
- Food
- Immigrant and refugee needs
- Health and education
You can be a part of our outreach efforts at any time. We welcome your hands and heart in service throughout the year. Watch for outreach opportunities in our various communication channels.
